Our Wines
We’ll be bottling our first commercial Portuguese wine here at Ceiceira this summer 2025!

We are excited to announce that Ceiceira’s owner, professional winemaker Chris Evoy, has produced our first commercial Portuguese wine made with a blend of Algarvian white grape varieties. We will be bottling and labelling it soon for you to try here at Ceiceira this summer 2025. Additionally, he has helped with the planting of a commercial vineyard at Quinta da Lila guesthouses in Monchique, that he will now be managing for the purpose of producing wine in Monchique from Monchique.
Chris is also responsible for sourcing the wine here at Ceiceira Tasting Lounge, where he has chosen unique, interesting wines from select producers across the Portugal wine regions. Bold reds, crispy whites, fruity rosés, and fresh sparklings offer something for every taste. We provide standing wine tastings at our bar. Additionally, wines are available as flights, by the glass, and by the bottle with table service in our lounge, atrium, and outdoor patio. Wines purchased for take-away receive a discount. Also, any unfinished open bottles are happily re-corked for take-away.

Enjoy one of the most exciting, inventive menus in Monchique. Our playful fusion menu offers something for everyone. With unique appetizers, hearty burgers and sandwiches, fresh salads and soulful mains, you will want to return time and time again to sample all of our tasty treats. We offer plentiful vegan and vegetarian dishes, and the majority of our menu is gluten free.
Our speciality is delicious cuisine created with the ingenuity and passion inspired by the fantastic flavours of Southern cuisine and the Algarve itself. We take great pride in highlighting your favourite Portuguese ingredients in new and creative ways influenced by our experience and love of world cuisines. With American and British owners, and an international kitchen, you will see our heritage represented throughout the menu, with a bit of the “south” in every bite. You will also see our respect for Monchique producers of the famous Iberian black pork, local honeys, and spicy pepper jams.

We are temporarily closed. We will see you mid-June 2025.
We can accomodate groups of 7 or more with advance notice. We are also available for private events, with optional wine tastings, pairings, and “meet the winemaker” events. We have outside seating on our patio as well as tables in the lounge and the sunroom.
